Mean Creek (2004)

Wow. This was an awesome movie. These kids were phenomenal, and this story was riveting. I can't stress enough that it is not a kids movie....but these actors were real, and it was just amazing how into the story I got. It was just such a sad story, and makes you think about bullying in a whole different way. It made me uncomfortable, sad, scared, and just amazed at how wonderful all these actors were, and believable. Rory Culkin is by far the best of the clan, besides being completely adorable, he is an awesome actor. I can't wait to see more from him. The little girl too, she used to be on Port Charles, (sad that I recognized her from that long ago) I thought this was going to be just some slow independent Rivers Edge type movie...but nope, this was really good. (not that I didn't like Rivers Edge of course, but this is on a totally different level)
