The Passion of the Christ (2004)

Okay, this is kind of a cheat, again..(I know, I am getting really bad at this)because technically, I have already seen this, but being that it was Easter week, and I had some health issues going on, and other various craziness....I didn't get as many movies in as I wanted to this week, so this happened to be on, so I gave it a second try. I hated it the first time. I thought the violence was gratuitous (spelled completely messed up but I have no spell check here!!!) and the subtitles just got on my nerves (not that I have issues with foreign films, but this just annoyed me)...and I still felt that way about it this time as well...however this time I think I opened my mind a little bit more and enjoyed some of the other imagery in the movie. I detest Mel Gibson, but I can see that he really put his heart and soul and beliefs into this movie, and I can appreciate that passion (no pun intended of course). I think he can be proud that he got his point across to the crowd he was preaching to. Bubba liked this movie quite a bit, I still can't say I am a huge fan, but I am more accepting of it than I was before
