Kinsey (2004) Liam Neeson, Laura Linney
I finally got around to seeing this movie. Its the usual problem for me, I read a review, or get information about a movie, but in our mainstream movie world here, my chances fly by to see movies like this. It was playing for probably a week at my usual theater, and perhaps a bit longer at the art house theater. In any case, I never made it out to see it. I really, really enjoyed it. I always like Laura Linney, so it was appealing just from that viewpoint for me. Liam Neeson, however, is not my favorite. I found this character so intriguing though, that I really grew to like him more than I ever had before. This is such an interesting story, and as usual brings to my attention that we really have come a long way since the 1940s, yet in other ways, haven't come nearly as far as we should have. Now I am itching to go out and get some biographical books about Kinsey, as the story is in my blood now and I am thirsty for more. I thought the movie was well done, and sadly overlooked.
