The Trotsky (2009)

I was all set to rant and rave about how much I really enjoyed this movie.  But today a little boy that I have been following on CaringBridge, who had the same kind of Leukemia as Chloe, and also has Down Syndrome...relapsed just six months after finishing his treatment. I realize this has nothing whatsoever to do with the movie I watched, but I can't stop thinking about it.  My heart is just broken and I don't know what to say about the movie now because it all seems so trivial compared to what this family is now facing.  I will give it a shot though, I may not be able to stomach a whole movie tonight though...just don't have it in me.
This movie was cute.  It was a smart comedy starring a boy I have come to love Jay Baruchel.  He plays a teenager who is convinced he is the reincarnation of Leon Trotsky.  This was not only amusing, but witty and fresh as well.  I am so glad I was in the mood for a non documentary movie because this ended up being much better than I anticipated.  That is all. If you are the praying kind, please pray for the Pirie family or visit Peters page http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/peterpirie/ and send them a word of encouragment, and positive energy, good thoughts, or whatever you can.
